Mentality

“For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

Proverbs 23:7

WHEN we’re ON A PATH OF SELF-improvement, GOAL SETTING IS ESSENTIAL. ALL TOO OFTEN, GOALS FALL short NOT BECAUSE THEY’RE IMPOSSIBLE- BUT BECAUSE WE DON’T TRULY BELIEVE IN THEM OR APPROACH them with urgency.

SHIFT OUR MINDSET: TREAT EVERY GOAL LIKE IT MATTERS DEEPLY, LIKE IT’S URGENT. THE MORE SERIOUSLY we TAKE OUR GOALS, the more likely we are to reach them. Think of them as non-NEGOTIABLE, emergencies that demand OUR attention.

That mentality changes

everything.

GOALS

Setting goals can be complicated. Goals are often set because they sound good. To achieve success, it is crucial to choose a goal that is both achievable and challenging.

We may opt for a shorter timeline for OUR goal or establish small, achievable goals along the way rather than concentrating on one ambitious goal. Goals also play a crucial role in keeping us focused and on track.

The feeling of satisfaction, when we accomplish those goals, is immeasurable!

 NUTRITION

Nutrition is a crucial component in achieving success on this journey. Our diet plays a significant role in determining the rate of OUR progress. The body's functioning and flow as a system are heavily influenced by nutrition.

There are 24 hours in a day, but if we subtract 8 hours for sleep and 1 hour for fitness training, we’re left with 15 hours to use for other activities.

OUR success or failure hinges on those 15 hours. Remember that it's not just about what we eat but how well we digest it.

 TRAINING

The training phase is where we can mentally and physically challenge ourselves to push our limits. It's an exciting part of the process that I like to refer to as "The Hurt So Good" section.

Although it may get tough at times, the satisfaction of completing a session is immense. You can say, "I am proud of myself for meeting the challenge and giving my best effort to crush it!"

This phase is also the most beneficial of the FAB Five, where Mindset, Goals, Nutrition, and Recovery play a vital role in achieving our objectives.

RECOVERY

recovery is one of the most overlooked parts of training- but it’s essential for real progress.

getting quality sleep helps our central nervous system and muscles recharge for the next session; but it DOESN’T stop there. stretching, massages, hot/cold tubs, and cryotherapy are all powerful tools to help our body bounce back and stay ready.

Take your recovery as SERIOUSLY as your training.
